HOWTO: Identifying "Fake News"

"Fake News", as it's now called is nothing more than modern propaganda. Propaganda can come as many forms, whether it be studies, news reports, films, or footage.

What do I mean by "modern propaganda"? Modern propaganda is any and all media funded by Allied powers since the treaty of Versailles. Every piece of propaganda made since has one thing in common: outright lies and half truths.
The intent of this guide is to gift you some of the mental tools needed to peek past the veil.

Modern propaganda overwhelmingly preys on emotion and imposes itself upon individuals using herd mentality.

Empathy and fear are the primary emotional targets for propaganda attacks.

Empathy is targeted when the subject is social in nature.

Won't someone think of the poor children?!
How many ___ have to die?!
They're just like us.
___ is skin deep.

People are labelled "ists" or "phobics" if they fail to succumb to the attacks on their empathy.
If you express ___, you'll be ostracized for being an "ist", because your "isms" are offensive. Racist! Sexist! Islamophobic!

Fear is targeted when the intent is to undermine the herd's sense of security in an effort to obtain more power.

It could happen anywhere.
It could happen to you.

People are labelled "cold", "heartless" or "inhumane" when they fail to succumb to the attacks on their security.
When attacks on security fail, the propaganda and herd will shift to attacking empathy because the subject is now social in nature.

Comedy is employed when attacks on both empathy and fear fail.

Bigoted characters with the targeted beliefs are featured in sitcoms where they're either the butt of the joke or are converted.
Late night comedic "news" programs will mock holders of the targeted beliefs.

Comedic acts arm the herd with effective tools used to ostracize dissidents.

Puff pieces.

Puff pieces are indicative of emotional manipulation.

A "reputable" news source is not to be trusted if it laces serious journalism with puff pieces.
Puff pieces are included to control the pacing of the narrative, and provide a moment to listen and reflect upon the story.

Reflect upon the story, not the information. The story need not be accurate or intricate if there's enough to distract the common mind.

Talking heads.

Talking heads are utilized to replace the viewer's thought process with that of the rich and powerful.

Every news outlet, whether it be television, radio, web casting, or even paper, features a panel of commentators who rambunctiously opine about whatever information is conveyed to the viewer.

Just like puff pieces, the spectacle serves as a distraction.

Anything which supports an end goal of the rich and powerful is exaggerated.

Anything which supports an end goal of the rich and powerful is incredibly exaggerated.
The exaggerations are likely more than twice of what's real.

Their blanket end goals are the complete dissolution of social cohesion, increasing profits, and the destruction of self reliance and self determination.

The rise of "White Nationalist Domestic Terrorists"? Unlikely.
Gun violence is a rising disease? Doubt it.
Electronics hurting and killing people up because of improper repairs? Extraordinarily rare.

Anything which impedes an end goal of the rich and powerful is suppressed.

Any number is likely half of what's real, for example:

Real information is also withheld from the public.

Words are redefined to obscure the intent of their users.

Please read: "What is the Alt-Right?", and "The basis for censorship in a time of weapon prohibitions" if you haven't already.

Engineered terms are created to condense nebulous groups into easily identifiable targets.

"What is the Alt-Right?" covers this.
A more timely example is: "Economically Unattractive"

If a commonly parroted idea is featured on a comedy news program it's definitely an outright lie.

Every late night comedy "news" face man is likely guilty of this.

Easy to recognize people will be vilified and touted as leaders to be defeated even if they're neither.

Exhibit A: Richard Spencer, leader of the alt-right.
How can you be a leader of an engineered term for multiple, often times conflicting, groups?

The herd loves to win, and low hanging fruit provides easy victories.

Multi-generational, globally recognized villains are difficult and expensive to produce, so any new villain will always be amended to the ranks of the previous major villain.

Government victories only happen when they're politically convenient.

Pay attention to the complete omission of personal protective equipment and supposed sarin tainted water being splashed on everyone involved.

The villain of the week will never be described with positive qualities. Their depictions, descriptions, and portrayals are likely to be completely opposite from reality.

The rich and powerful always project their thoughts, crimes, kinks, goals, and villainy onto their enemies.

To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.

I'm not even going to give you an example for this one. Just use your imagination and criticize the greatest ally.

Separatists who destabilize high value (cultural or resource) regions which in turn allows the rich and powerful to later seize control are always heroes.

Syrian rebels allied with the Free Syrian Army gained control of the Golan Heights, which is now occupied by Israel and various US companies run by political elite.

A big oil deposit has been found in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, with enough reserves to last Israel for decades, according to the country's media.

Anyone who questions the government or any of its subsidiaries for any reason is ostracized and demonized.

The phrase "conspiracy theorist" was coined by the CIA in a 1967 dispatch dealing with the recent Kennedy assassination.
The media has since used it's power to attempt to discredit critics.

The aim of this dispatch is to provide material countering and discrediting the claims of the conspiracy theorists

b. To employ propaganda assets to and refute the attacks of the critics. Book reviews and feature articles are particularly appropriate for this purpose.

Our ploy should point out, as applicable, that the critics are (I) wedded to theories adopted before the evidence was in, (II) politically interested, (III) financially interested, (IV) hasty and inaccurate in their research, or (V) infatuated with their own theories.

But wait! I've posted all this information from news outlets! I'm lying!

Nope.
The governments release morsels of truth when it doesn't matter anymore.

And that is why organizations like wikileaks are feared. Verifiable, incriminating leaks reveal the truth to the public when it has the chance to alter outcomes.

Any information released through official channels don't matta.
